The AMFP National Board of Directors Seeks Directors for Five Board Positions

Special Events Director

The Director of Special Events is responsible for organizing and leading the association’s annual participation in the Healthcare Design Conference & Expo and any other national/international events in which AMFP participates.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish and build Special Events committee
  • Healthcare Design Yearly Conference
    • Core responsibility – set up and manage a committee to develop, organize and execute all AMFP programs, activities and aspects related to our participation in this event, including:
      • Soliciting, selecting and organizing an AMFP facilities management track with approximately 12 sessions
      • Oversee the development and execution of contracts with EmeraldX, the organizer of the HCD conference
      • Strategize on ways to grow AMFP’s footprint at HCD
      • Establish and manage budget related to AMFP’s involvement in HCD
  • AMFP National Yearly Board of Directors Meeting at HCD
    • Secure space, layout, F&B and audio/visual needs in coordination with National AMFP president and secretary
    • Develop and manage board meeting budget
  • AMFP Exhibit Booth
    • Coordinate selection of booth space, staffing schedule, graphics, and promotions
    • Develop and manage board booth budget
  • Receptions
    • Research and recommend venue for AMFP reception
    • Develop and manage reception budget
    • Coordinate F&B contract with venue
    • Oversee reception sponsorship solicitation
    • Oversee reception on-site
  • Other Potential Special Events
    • IFHE 2026 Congress
    • IFHE has selected AMFP’s proposal to host the 2026 Congress in New Orleans and our roles and responsibilities have yet to be determined. We anticipate the Director of Special Events would begin working on this event in 2023 and 2024.

Programs & Education Director

The Director of Programs & Education is responsible for identifying, promoting and executing national educational content geared toward the Healthcare End User.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish and build Programs/Education committee
  • Build and coordinate education and programs across the AMFP Chapter Network
  • Work with AMFP National Director of Strategic Alliances to expand educational programs and networking events
  • Build and establish long-term educational programs with our academic institutions
  • Work to build an AMFP certification/credentialing program
  • Work with AMFP Chapters and Director of AMFP Academic Partnerships to build Young Professional and Student Chapter Groups and AMFP mentoring program
  • Work with AMFP Director of Special Events to improve and grow the AMFP facilities management track at Healthcare Design (HCD) with the end-goal of AMFP having its own conference
  • Work to establish AMFP as a leader in the education of our sector of Healthcare Professionals as defined by the AMFP membership categories
  • Work with existing educational partners like SquareFootage.net on the healthcare summits produced in various chapter cities

Marketing & Communications Director

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading the development and implementation of projects to advance the mission and vision of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish and build Marketing/Communications committee
  • Plan and execute strategic marketing and communication priorities and goals at the National level as defined by the Executive Committee of the AMFP National Board.
  • Collaborating with the National Administrator and chapter social media/Digital/Communications/PR Chairs and Directors, manage efforts to improve the association’s digital presence through its web sites, social media channels, and email platforms.

  • Previous related experience with a company or professional association

Membership Development Director

The Membership Development Director supports AMFP’s strategic goal to continuously grow and deliver value to healthcare end users and strategic partner members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with chapter Membership Chairs and Co-Chairs to deliver strategic membership development and retention initiatives and tools.
  • Identify individual chapter capacity for membership growth and retention, and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Build Membership Development Committee

Sponsorship Development Director

The Sponsorship Development Director is responsible for building a sponsorship platform and identifying and cultivating relationships with groups and companies to secure their financial sponsorship of AMFP at the national and chapter level.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and coordinate a National Sponsorship Committee with a representative from each region where AMFP has or desires a presence.
  • The Sponsorship Development Director reports to the AMFP Board of Directors National Vice President charged with overseeing national and chapter sponsorship development.
