With more than 30 years of healthcare operational and construction experience, Beth Melchi, The Boldt Company's national healthcare business development director, has agreed to fill the volunteer role of national membership chair for the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP).
Prior to joining Boldt in 2021, Melchi served as vice president of operations for Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and executive director of operations for St. Vincent Health.
Appointed by Jeffrey S. Kent, AMFP’s national president, Melchi will focus on helping
existing and developing chapters attract and retain healthcare system facility and service
professionals as members.
“Incredibly, AMFP has grown organically from a small group of founding members in 2019 to 1,000-plus members in nine chapters nationwide today,” said Melchi. “The organization continues to receive inquiries for new chapters which typically add 100 or more members within months. Just imagine what we can achieve with a focused membership recruitment
and retention program at the national and local levels.”
AMFP membership dues are $95 per year for Healthcare End Users and $195 for Strategic Partners in the supply and service side of the industry. For more information, please visit: https://amfp.info/membership.
Melchi said there is no other professional member-based organization focused exclusively on
the healthcare-built environment.
Launched in January 2019, the Association of Medical Facility Professionals is a professional
member-based, non-profit organization for the healthcare-built environment with chapters in
Central Florida, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, North Texas, Northern California, New York
City, Philadelphia and the Upper Midwest. AMFP expects to launch new chapters this year in
Atlanta, Boston and Washington, D.C.
