AMFP Chicago Chapter Welcomes New President

AMFP Chicago’s Board of Directors has a new president, Mary Basel Christopher. Mary has exemplified a passion and focus for leading an outstanding association dedicated to educating healthcare and medical facility professionals on leading trends in the healthcare-built environment. Mary has proven instrumental as a connector, a team player and a leader who is flexible and adaptable to the evolving healthcare environment, during a pandemic and otherwise.


Mary has been a board member of AMFP Chicago for three years. Her latest role was as co-chair of AMFP Chicago’s Research & Outreach Committee, which focuses on providing the latest industry news and timely information around trending topics in healthcare real estate. Mary has been an Account Executive at Haworth for eight years where she helps various institutions within the healthcare market create optimal and efficient spaces.


As AMFP Chicago president, Mary will lead a chapter evolving amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. She will provide guidance for AMFP Chicago’s upcoming events, virtual or otherwise, as well as research and outreach and membership growth. She will also help, through the Board of Directors and respective committees, in ensuring the continued success of the AMFP Chicago chapter.


Mary takes over this role from Jennifer Patton, who served as the first president of AMFP Chicago. Jennifer was instrumental in growing membership to record levels and driving events laser-focused on improving the healthcare built environment.
