Project Health: Transforming Education, Research, and Healing

From Idea to Redefining What’s Possible

Project Health is a transformative $2.2 billion initiative at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, designed to revolutionize healthcare education, clinical research, and patient care across the state. The project, slated to be approximately 1.4 million square feet, anticipates breaking ground in spring 2026 on building foundations and take 5-6 years to complete. Project Health represents one of the most ambitious and consequential investments in Nebraska’s healthcare future, aiming to improve access, quality, and innovation for generations to come.

This program will offer attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the design and construction of this groundbreaking initiative. The panelists will give attendees a deeper understanding of how the project has progressed from idea to design and construction, including using the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model.
