Speaker Bios:
Jonathan Cogswell, Vice President, Manhattan Development for Northwell Health’s Western Region, has been working in healthcare facility operations & development for more than 25 years. After starting his career in the development of Cancer Centers in the Metro New York area, he transitioned into leading hospital development 15 years ago when he moved to Lenox Hill Hospital. Currently, he works for Northwell Health managing the development of facilities in the system's Western Region, which includes Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital and an out-patient network of more than 80 sites. Jonathan is also Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Greater NY Chapter of the Association of Medical Facility Professionals and the Co-Chair of Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee of the New York Building Congress.
Austin Delaney brings over a decade of experience leading complex technology initiatives in the construction and healthcare sectors. As EVP and lead for Digital Technology at HBS, he oversees the strategy, design, and delivery of integrated solutions that streamline workflows, improve outcomes, and enhance the patient experience across major healthcare institutions. Notable regional projects include the David H. Koch Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Hackensack Meridian Health’s Helena Theurer Pavilion, and the RWJBarnabas Health / Rutgers Cancer Institute Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center.
His certifications in project management (PMP), agile practices (PMI-ACP), physical security (PSP), and sustainability (LEED AP BD+C) form a multidisciplinary foundation that informs his systems-based approach to digital transformation.
Austin blends operational rigor with forward-thinking innovation, helping teams deliver high-impact results aligned with long-term goals. A recognized thought leader in the digital transformation of the healthcare built environment, Austin is known for translating early-stage vision into scalable, human-centered solutions. His work supports project success across the full facility lifecycle—from planning and design through construction, activation, and turnover—ultimately enabling smarter, more resilient healthcare spaces.
Scott Edelman is the Executive Director of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, a nationally recognized and accredited not-for-profit healthcare provider specializing in rehabilitation treatment, research, and graduate medical education. Scott, who previously served as Burke’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, brings 30+ years of experience in addressing physical and medical rehabilitation needs with a patient-centered approach, stressing quality and safety, while extending Burke’s award-winning care to individuals throughout Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and the Bronx.
Scott received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting and finance from Iona University. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Scott is an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the Westchester County Association and member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Nonprofit Westchester. He is also a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Scott serves as an adjunct professor in the MBA program of the SUNY educational system and has held teaching positions at Iona University, Long Island University Hudson, and frequently guest lectures.
David Geller is Vice President for Planning, Design, and Construction at Mount Sinai Health System. With over 25 years of experience, including 15 years dedicated to healthcare, he has led major projects for New York’s leading institutions, delivering world-class facilities that advance patient care.
Lori Mazor is a visionary leader at the intersection of design, technology, and education. As the bestselling author of TEMPERATURE: Creativity in the Age of AI, she has become a leading voice in artificial intelligence and creativity. Lori began her career as an architect at the renowned firm Ennead in New York City, focusing on cultural and academic projects. She rose to become the first vice president for Planning and Design at New York University, where she orchestrated a 25-year strategic plan that added $6 billion to the university’s balance sheet. This achievement earned her Crain’s 40 Under 40 recognition.
Today, she channels her expertise into educating and inspiring others about the possibilities of Generative AI. As CEO of SYNTHETIVITY, she has developed educational programs that equip leaders and creatives with hands-on skills to integrate AI into their workflows. Her work spans institutions and organizations including Fordham, RIT, and creative agencies seeking to innovate with AI. A TEDx speaker, Lori’s multidisciplinary background — combining her design training at Yale, business acumen from NYU, and a liberal arts foundation from Wellesley — equips her with a unique skill set. She fosters a vibrant community through her Humans of AI newsletter and is passionate about ensuring technology enhances our humanity.
Dareen Salama is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gryps, is a "control tower for owners" providing capital project owners with unified search, analytics, and an AI operating system across all their data and documents. Dareen has focused her career in the AEC industry on the application of technology, linking multiple aspects of project/construction management including cost, schedule and facility information using artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
Prior to Gryps, Dareen was Director of Technical Services at Lehrer LLC, leading the implementation of innovative technologies for $1B+ projects and programs in New York City, and Deputy Project Controls Manager at STV, Inc. Notable projects that Dareen contributed to include the Mount Sinai Health System, LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Program. and the Javits Convention Center Expansion. She was also a visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute in New York City. Dareen was a structural engineer at Dar Al-Handasah Consultants in Cairo. She completed her MBA at Harvard Business School, is a founding board member of Contech Alliance in NYC (technology focused industry group), and an active member of CMAA. Dareen is also an industry advisor to Columbia University's Global Leaders in Construction Management Program.
