Speaker Bios:
Thomas Galligan - As the Permitting Manager at Bohler’s Melville, NY office, Tom oversees permitting projects across Long Island, Westchester, and Southern Connecticut. With over 15 years of experience securing approvals and permits in these regions, Tom collaborates with clients and project teams to develop strategic filing approaches that align with construction schedules for a wide range of projects, including new buildings, interior fit-outs, alterations, and ancillary applications. He provides expert guidance and ensures smooth coordination with municipal agencies, including Building, Planning, Public Works, Transportation, and Health Departments, as well as local utility authorities. From initial filings to Certificate of Occupancy, Tom’s extensive experience spans various market sectors throughout the New York Metro area.
Notable projects include Northwell Health, Various Locations, Long Island, NY; South Shore University Hospital; Catholic Health Services, Various Locations, Long Island, NY; and Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, NY.
Richard Humann is Chairman, President, and CEO of H2M architects + engineers, where he started as an intern in 1987. He is a licensed professional engineer in 12 states. Rich is responsible for the overall performance of the firm, and drives the corporate mission, vision, and values of the firm to create a working environment that promotes employee engagement and positive culture. Under his leadership, H2M has grown from a firm of about 220 employees to over 580 employees in ten offices, servicing clients throughout NY, NJ, CT, MA, PA and FL.

David Pennetta is Executive Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield of LI, Inc. He is responsible for team business, implementation of key business initiatives, leadership, client relationship management, business development, and recruitment, ensuring delivery of the full array of C&W’s creative and innovative services to clients. David serves in a brokerage capacity with an emphasis on corporate representation with sub-specialties in land sales, government affairs, economic development, and tax and incentive procurement. He is an omnichannel broker working on regionally significant projects.
David graduated with honors from New York University, with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate. He earned the NYU Founders Day Award, Presidents List, and is a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda honors society. David is also a Master’s in Real Estate Candidate at Georgetown University. He is a multi-award-winning broker, recognized subject matter expert, and real estate influencer. David has appeared on TV CBS Channel 2, Channel 21, NPR Radio, and frequently contributes to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Real Deal, Long Island Business News, and Newsday. He has spoken for many Long Island universities and business groups including SUNY Stony Brook, Hofstra University, and Touro Law. He is a Real Estate Anchor in Innovate LI’s Loaded Voices lineup and Opinion Writer for LIBN. David is a Strategic Officer for the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society and holds a seat on the Huntington Planning Board. He is a NYS Licensed Instructor and Court recognized Receiver, Broker, and Expert Witness.
Glen Tilkin possesses over three decades of experience leading capital projects, with a focus on major healthcare facilities and institutions. As a former practicing architect—covering a wide range of sectors—he brings innovation and knowledge to a portfolio of diverse capital projects. His passion for design and construction gives him a holistic perspective on the project management and owner’s representative processes.
Since joining Stantec in 2023 and serving in the role of owner’s representative for several major regional healthcare systems, he’s provided key oversight with a hands-on approach, striving to make sure his clients' visions are met and that the projects are successful from a financial and end-user perspective. With a unique outlook, Glen has two decades of experience on the owner’s side in the healthcare industry. Prior to Stantec, Glen was the Assistant Vice President of the Eastern Region at Northwell Health, responsible for the oversight of capital projects for the health system including eight hospitals and ambulatory locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Glen is an alumnus of New York Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture and is active in multiple AMFP chapters (GNY/NCNJ/CT).
David Wortman is a VHB Senior Environmental Manager with extensive experience preparing State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) documentation, Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments and planning and zoning analyses in New York. During his career of over 20 years, David has advised developers and owners as well as various municipal boards regarding land use, zoning and environmental matters for a broad range of projects, including multi-family, mixed-use and transit-oriented development, airport improvements, industrial development, public utility and renewable energy projects, and regional retail shopping destinations. In the healthcare sector, his recent experience has included major hospital modernization projects, Emergency Department expansions, construction of new bed towers to accommodate patient room privatization, and the planning and development new ground-up medical campuses for each of the major healthcare systems operating in the region.
