Upper Midwest: Integrated Engineering Delivery – The Glue of Operations & Driving Value
About this event

The presentation will focus on the design and construction phases of two large scale projects, one traditionally delivered with subs bidding design documents and one integrated design with sub partners on-board in design thru construction. The goal of the presentation is to identify drivers of bringing on MEP construction partners during design by assessing goals of operational excellence, schedule and return on investment.
The presentation will cover innovations such as working in one model from early massing through detailed design, holistic total cost of owner ship tracking from Concept through value studies with examples of tracking, and owner benefits of OEM modeling of assets as a design process.
The session will include interactive live polling of the audience to gauge knowledge and trends in the local market and drive relevant discussion. The take aways from the session will be key performance indicators for design participation success, trends in healthcare design project decision making and engineers role in the project team as the glue to bring facilities operation and capital investment together in long term outcomes.
Presented by: Nolan Rome, Senior Vice President, WSP
