Linda Miller headshotMeet Subject Matter Expert Linda Miller, RN, BSN, CIC. Linda serves as Director, Infection Prevention and Control with Children’s Health System of Texas/Children’s Plano. She is responsible for all aspects of the Infection Prevention program, including surveillance, reporting, education, adherence to regulatory standards, and policy development. In addition to her work at Children’s Health, Linda has functioned as an APIC consultant specializing in assessment and management of infection prevention programs, policy development and program design, with a strong focus on education- since 2009. Previous work included a 12-month assignment with a System of 14 ambulatory surgery centers, assessing and standardizing policies and practices while educating individuals responsible for infection prevention. Linda has demonstrated excellence in the field of infection surveillance and control, epidemiology and prevention, staff education and program development, regulatory readiness, emergence preparedness, environment of care, and analysis of microbiological data in all clinical and community settings. Her engaging conversational style fits right in with the program, allowing attendees to give and take while she shares policies, standards, and lessons learned from the real world.

Linda has been a member of APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control & Epidemiology) since 1998, and past Chapter Officer including Board member, President and Board Chair.
